El Morro is a dive site for experienced scuba divers with more than fifty logged dives. About 25 miles northwest of Vallarta in the Pacific Ocean, this towering peak is home to Giant Mantas, Skip Jacks and larger fish species. A tunnel beginning at a depth of 100ft. and exiting at about 60ft, with its tricky currents, makes for a truly challenging dive. Bring your courage and your underwater camera to this fantastic dive site.

El Morro is known for its series of pinnacles that rise from the floor of the ocean, riddled with dozens of caves and tunnels waiting to be explored in a lush undersea world that teems with life. It is located 26 miles out from Puerto Vallarta in the Pacific Ocean.

It lies beyond the protected waters of the Bay of Banderas. The rocks are populated by an incredible number of migratory and no migratory fish. Commonly seen are Moorish Idols, Leather Bass, Golden Eye Grunts, Razor Surgeons, Harlequin Wrasse, The great Pacific Manta, Sailfish, Dolphins, Turtles, large schools of Jacks and occasionally whale sharks in the months May, June and July.
