There actually is not just one dive site named Sand Falls. It is more an underwater phenomenon discovered by Jacques Cousteau occuring here near San Lucas. The quick and steep drop in depths just a bit offshore the cliffs of San Lucas have made this possible. Sand is literally cascading down the wall-like slopes like waterfalls but then made out of sand. Seeing sand move this way is a weird sight, something you do not expect.
